In a recent Reddit AMA with indie developer Crunching Koalas (who recently released Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition for the Switch), Tom Tomaszewski from the studio revealed an interesting tidbit of information.
When questioned about the lack of a ranking system in Lichtspeer for Switch, he said:
“Nintendo doesn’t have an official support for Achievements and Leaderboards, like Sony or Microsoft but we know that they’re working on it. We’ll see how it goes and we’ll add the rankings along the way.”
Huh, that came out of nowhere.
When a Reddit user asked him if this information was supposed to be a secret, Tom replied:
Move along. Nothing to see here.
PS. But seriously – I have a really strong feeling they hinted it a few times.”
Since Nintendo have delayed their online service to next year, it does make sense that they may include achievements too. What do you think?
